![]()
On the international Day of Digital Archives, 7 October 2011, the ICT-company located in Hengelo, will introduce a new version of the Summarizer. In addition to the possibility to summarize (large quantities) of plain text, it is now possible to do this with HTML while preserving the original layout. Due to the increased use of mobile applications, more and more organizations first wish to offer a brief summary of their website to visitors and then to give the user the choice of looking at the full text on the site.
New functionality of the Summarizer
- In addition to the existing functionality, from now on the Summarizer also has the following functionalities:
- Now, in addition to plain text (txt-files), it is also possible to summarize HTML (web texts). While preserving formatting.
- Plain text can be converted to HTML output.
- Headers, titles, tables, Kopjes, lists, etc are recognized: the choice can be made, manually, whether or not to include these in the summary.
- It is simple to add or remove certain phrases by specifically clicking on these particular phrases.
Improved access to information
The amount of (unstructured) data is increasing exponentially. Having the right information, at the right time and at the right location is crucial to the success of every profit and nonprofit organization. At least 80% of the information in an organization is in fact unstructured and therefore not easily accessible. Content2Context has developed several intelligent applications whereby (large quantities of) (web) texts can be automatically summarized, interpreted and anonymized.
